Hey, this is so wonderful to see other people in a very similar situation. My mom and dad are worried about me, too, because I’m (as of right now) going it alone, and I’ll be just-turned-21, and I’m a girl, but hell, I can’t not go. I’ve been drooling over the idea for too long to let my parents’ worries stop me. So I will be there, prolly starting mid-March, and I can’t freakin’ wait. See y’all on the Trail.

Hey, Check out my pics from my recently completed 2004 Thru-hike and let your parents see for themselves that the trail is not a void. My folks were also apprehensive. Don’t NOT do it because of that reasoning. We all know that there will be people out there hiking.

I am currently finishing my 2nd SOBO thru-hike. Should be at Amicalola end of December. I will take a week or so off to rest and then, God willing, I plan on doing a yo-yo and will begin my 2005 NOBO in early January.
