My favorite summer breakfast is a smoothie: Mix 1 pkg carnation instant breakfast drink, 1 scoop protein powder, 1 pkg instant regular coffee any flavor you like, 1 serving dry milk(Nido, a Mexican version by carnation is the best tasting). This can be packaged ahead of time. I add it to my water bottle at night to prepare for the morning. Shake it up and it’s fast and YUMMEE! I like any combination of chocolate the best, but carnation also has strawberry and vanilla flavors. Have fun!

I will be hiking my 2nd 4 day/night hike May 11-15. It is really funny the things us newbies take. You learn what you need to be comfortable.
I also cooked oatmeal for breakfast, add dried fruit and nuts even!
