I realize this may be wrong, disgusting and slightly offensive… but once while at an AT shelter I had got caught in a snow/ice storm. It was at least 2F outside with winds blowing. I was all huddled up in the shelter with my stomach full of my warm soup I had prepared.

When, all of the sudden I felt the need to pee. I didn’t want to go out into the bad weather nor did I want to pee in the shelter; I was torn. I grabbed a Ziploc freezer bag and began doing my thing.

In the middle of urinating I felt another urge. Yes, I had a sewer snake to release, I had to back one out, drop a loaf, etc. I grabbed another freezer bag and did this exact thing.

Not intending to transition to a new topic, but is it okay to do this or only to use a pee bottle?

I would say it’s okay to do #1 in a bottle or zip-loc, but doing #2 into a Zip-loc in not acceptable.
