Pepper Spray and bells!!!
You need to identify what type of bear you will be hiking with!
You can do this by kicking around in the local scat. The smaller piles of brown scat with small animal bones and hair will be the Black Bear Scat, the larger piles of scat that smell like pepper and have small bells in it will be the Grizzly Poop!
