Was that the Delaware Water Gap plaque that was later stolen and never found?

Let’s see…1958, a plaque disappears from the water gap, then, 1959, a plaque appears on top of old springer. I smell a consipracy theory…collusion, deception, duplicitousness…

Tyger,
Unfortunately I don’t have picture of this plaque. Althought if you look at this link:
http://www.trailjournals.com/photos.cfm?id=94422
if you were standing where I took this the plaque would be immediately on your right, Just before you cross that crazy dangerous road. Sorry about the lack of a pic.

Hey Tyger,
I remember reading some of your very good journals last year at this. What happened? Did you hike this year? Did you keep a journal?

Well I would love the autographed picture, unfortunately I didn’t have a clue what the answer was :lol…
Where I work we aren’t supposed to say “Merry Christmas” to customers unless they say it first. Kind of odd considering that every holiday deli platter we send out has a “Merry Christmas” ornament in it. I think I may just start wishing everyone a Joyous Solstice.
The thing is, none of the Jewish or other non-Christian people I know personally care if someone wishes them a Merry Christmas or sends them a Christmas card. They certainly aren’t offended. Another case of a very small handful of people making a big deal out of nothing. I’m not a Christian (though I celebrate Christmas) and I would be just as happy if someone wished me a Happy Hannukah as anything else. What ever happened to ‘it’s the thought that counts’?
Anyway, I wish you all a happy Kwaanza.
Holiday love to everyone!

Some very narrow minded people feel threatened when people don’t think exactly as they do, thus, this idiotic campaign. It’s a product of Fox News, mainly. It deflects attention away from issues that actually matter. Wagging the dog, you know.
