For those lost and open minded, I suggest attending a Ray Jardine Connection Camp: Rayjardine.com. Read my comments on the “class feedback” page. We were not comparing pack weights there. We were learning how to articulate that connection with nature and simplicity that we learn from the trail. More importantly, we learned how to cultivate it at home in what I call the “fake world”. It helped me tremendously. I really struggled after my first two thru-hikes. The answers, my friends, are right in front of you.
