I’m putting out a call to '09 thru-hikers to help with a workshop at the A.T. Festival in Castleton, Vermont, on Sunday, July 19. Castleton is 14 miles west of Rutland, Vermont, 18 miles west of the A.T. at Rt. 4/Inn at Long Trail).
I need a couple of current thru-hikers who are willing to join a panel and answer questions from the audience about thru-hiking, gear, etc.
If you volunteer, my husband and I will pick you up Sunday morning at The Long Trail Inn, the Rutland hostel, or a nearby trailhead, transport you to the festival, provide you a shower and a free meal or two, drive you wherever you need to go in Rutland, and return you to town or the trailhead late that afternoon, evening, or the next morning (there are some camping options at the festival and nearby). Your registration fee would be waived for Sunday.
