Can someone tell me what the closest and/or most accessible 14ers are along the CT. Or which ones you would recommend. Also, are there any good fishing opportunitys along the trail?

San Luis (1m RT) and Yale (4m RT) are very short hikes. Massive (as well as N. Massive, S. Massive, etc.), Elbert (and S. Elbert), and Harvard/Columbia are also relatively short hikes. Several other collegiate peaks are reachable for the ambitious. You might want to check out 14ers.com or get the handbook for more info. I am planning on including Elbert, Massive and Harvard on my CT trip this summer. There are lots of fishing opportunites in smaller ponds and creeks especially around the Collegiate Peaks and in the San Juan Mountaints. Ron

I am going to do Mt Elbert which is right off the CT. Something like 2.5-3 miles one way.

While “in the neighborhood” on the CT this summer we’ll consider side trips up Massive, Elbert, Yale, Shivano & Tabeguache, and San Louis. Weather and how the knees and feet are feeling at the time will be determining factors. Camp near the peak trail for an early start in the morning. Shivano & Tabeguache are 10 miles RT, so may fall off the list.
