hey guys, new to the forums here. just thought id post a link to a bunch of pics i took during my 2 month prep hike for an upcomming thru hike. i started at the pa md border and headed south. weather turned bad in the smokies so i got off the trail. (didnt feel like losing any fingers or toes to frostbite)

anywho, heres some pics from the trail. for those of u looking for friends i may have traveled with, heres a list below to save u the trouble of browsing the whole directory.

Just checked out your pics. Have’nt gone through all of them but am having fun looking at them so far.

Those mohawks were cool. Sounds like you had a blast!

lol, the mohawks story…

me scarecrow and wonderboy, chilling at rustys… start talking about shaving our heads… which led to mohawks… which led to MR.T. the MR.T. haircut is a mohawk BUT it has the little hair crops over the ears that run down into the beard. so we decided on the MR.T cuts. they lasted a few weeks until it was time for another shave. this time we cleaned up alittle and just kept the standard mohawk. there was 7 or 8 of us sobo’s sporting MR/T cuts for a few weeks. when people in town would stare us down… we’d smile and say ‘shutup foo’

I have been trying to find out what happened with Moses. I hiked with him around Grayson Highlands area for a couple of days. (He was young and had red hair) I didn’t find him in your photos. Do you know if he finished or what?

the moses i know got the flu in erwin around thanxgiving. he hung out there for a bit to recover while a few of us headed out with plans to meet up in hotsprings. but word got back to us that he was really ill. from what i know, he tried to hike out after a week or so in erwin, got a few miles and hiked back down. i think hes done for the year.
