I’m planning a '09 thru-hike and I’m seeking others that might want to join me. I dont care which direction(if i go alone it’ll be southbound def). I’m 20 now and will be 21 on the hike. I may be out there next year going North bound ,leaving the end of Feb or early March, so maybe we will see each other out there .

Phillip. Don’t worry about seeking others that might want to join you on a '09 thru-hike. Make the plans yourself and there will be plenty of people that will be hiking with you. Leave NOBO in March/April and there will be more people than you will ever need. Going SOBO there will be a few less people, but you will not be alone.
Many times people make great plans to hike together and soon discover that it just doesn’t work out. Plan your own hike, hike at your own pace, take your time or speed up but be careful about deciding on a partner. I have known spouses that decided the night before the hike not to go.
Have a great time out there. If you get along with just about anyone you will have a great time on the trail.
