Hi-
Any thoughts on a good 3-4 weeks stretch on the CDT? I’ll be moving right along.
Thanks everybody!

You could do the CT if ya wanted to do a thru hike… what time are ya going ?.. I have that hike on my mind for sure…can’t wait. The Cdt is in my future I hope.

When do you intend to hike? If in July or August, I’d do southern Colorado from Chama north as far as possible or northern Montana starting at Waterton and heading south as far as possible.

Yappy- Is the CT the same trail as the CDT through Colorado? I would be traveling in late June through late August time frame.

Ghost Ranch, NM to Crede, Co. You’ll see a little of everything (desert, high mountain meadows, ridgeline, etc.) and lot of gorgeous.

it follows the cdt for about 200 miles… it goes denver to durango…esp. if you are starting in June. it is about 485 miles. it is a nice hike…but when it seperated from the Cdt I was like… hmm… wonder if Brad and the dogs would notice if i did’nt come home for another 4 months or so.
Someday right Ginny ?..

You could hike most of Wyoming in 3-4 weeks. Perhaps Rawlins to Old Faithful? or vice-versa. You could add/remove a section depending on how fast your pace is. Another option might be South Pass City to Lima or something…

Thanks for the good input so far. Jus looking for some guidance that would point me in the dirction of a challenging, rewarding, lonely few hundred miles.
Thanks!
