About this time five years ago I had left Miss Janet’s and was on my way the Roan Highlands. What a beautiful area and what wonderful weather I had.

2005 was a great year, particularly since I met my wife, Rocky, on the AT.

Anyone else have any great memories?

Hey Buzz. I met you at Vandeventer Shelter then in August we crossed paths randomly in the big forests of Vermont after you flipped. I became a section hiker that year after grinding out about 1,069 miles in between injuries and illnesses (several). I hiked with NoLegs, Terrapin, Cracker, Dad’s Grin, Whitey, Red Rover, Diesel, Chino (for a very short time!), Porter, The Brits, and many others. Later, met/saw Hitman, Pizza the Hut, Sleeveless, Gypsy Lou Lou and Touk, and others from MA north to Pinkham Notch where I finished for the year. I often wonder what happened to many of that crew, how they made out. Sleeveless was attacked by a rabid raccoon in VA, I think it was, and continued hiking while getting a course of rabies shots.

I have an Outlook reminder that comes up every year on April 10th and again on October 21st.

Every year the pop-up reminder surprises me and makes me smile.

									Hello all and thanks for your comments. Black Bird they were all great times. Mayfly how are you ?? Still out there hiking ?? I still remember our trail magic in CT. My wife and I still get out and hike as much as we can all over New England.
