Did anyone bump into Brian Robinson? I read on his site that he attended.

Brian walked in Saturday. He was around until Sunday morning. He talked about his journey on Sunday. I didn’t attend because Mat and I are losers. I talked with him briefly on Saturday. His spirits were high. As one can imagine.

did not want to come off as sounding obsessed with this triple-crowner thing, just was sorta surprised to see he actually gave up a few seconds to represent at ALDHA when I checked in at his web-page. I think he’s gonna pull it off. With less than 500 now, it looks good. As a side note, I think it’s pretty awesome he decided to wrap up on Big K as opposed to playing it safe and finishing in Bennington.

So who else was there? Yo Zip and Leif, you make it out there every year? How is it as a gathering rated to other hiker shindigs? Just curious as I am a newbie to these get-togethers.

This was the second gathering that I have been to. It was a great weekend. I got to see old friends and met some new ones. I like the how ALDHA is organized. It was cool that most people had name tags so you could meet people a lot easier. There were lots of great slide shows and events all weekend. I went to a slide show on the Colorado Trail and got to meet hikers that were behind me on the trail this year. I like traildays and the gathering both for different reasons. I would say the gathering is more mellow then traildays.

Wish I could have been there. Dartmouth is close and I love
meeting all when I can make it. I was suprised When I e-mailed Brian’s father and they did not know the winter Reg. for Baxter and the Mt. They do now and are applying for permits.
