Due to fires the AT is closed from mm 69.9 (Dick’s Creek Gap in Georgia) to mm 137.1 (Nantahala Outdoor Center in North Carolina). Bad break for the Sobo’s finishing the trail, although they will get credit for doing the trail anyway.

I just looked at the A T Conservancy website and it looks like pretty much everything is open again. There are some things to be heads up about so a look through “Trail Updates” on their site would be a good idea before heading out.
