Angie and her dog, MIA?

Thru-hiker Angie (Angie Merritt) and her dog Mama were last seen on the PCT at Whitewater canyon, just beyond the old trout farm around mile 219 on Weds morning 5/23. Bastian said he camped with her there Tues night and he left at 6am Weds and said goodbye. She was expected in Big Bear on Friday and has not been seen- it’s now Sunday night. Hikers behind her location did not pass her either.

Having spotted your concern about Angie, I, too, have become quite concerned. A week is way too long. Do you have a home contact for Angie? This just reminds me that with some people we meet soloing on the trail it might be a good thing to exchange more than trail names

I’ve been told by hikers who have run into her that Angie’s dog was having problems and she left the trail. I hear that she and her dog have returned to the trail and are OK.
