In addition to our annual high-fire-danger season, this is the annual pot-harvesting season in Southern California. Be wary, avoid people with guns and irrigation pipes in the forest, avoid people with
guns and helicopters in the forest, reconsider any off-trail cross-country hikes through remote areas of the forest, etc. As with last year’s San Jacinto bust, sometimes unlawful, hence hazardous, pot farms are within a few miles of the PCT.
