Well i will be doing my thru-hike somewhere between april 1-10 i may have to leave the trail briefly in late june or early july for couple weeks only just seein if anyone else is planning their hike for this timeframe? My brother & I started out this year on April 9th. While we are not going out in 05 just thought Id share this info with you as in regards to your hike this spring. We (solace & I) both agreed that if we planned another thru-hike we would begin sometime in March. To much Poison Ivy and we were at the back of the pack. Didn’t mind at all but really would have liked to hiked with more people at times. Went 3-4 at a time alone. (nice solace though!) I’m planning on leaving for a thru-hike at the start of April, assuming all goes well. I plan to take a bus to Atlanta on the weekend of April 2, and start as soon as I get to the trail (haven’t worked out exactly how I’ll get there yet - all in good time).
I don’t like the cold as much, and my contract will hopefully be ending at the end of march (otherwise I’d probably go earlier but don’t want to stiff work).

I’m starting SOMETIME in April. All attempts to contact my nephew in the womb and ask him when he will be blessing us with his presence have failed. So I wait.

that is prime time. i started april 2 last year and spent the first couple nights with dozens of prospective thrus. if it is companionship you are seeking, rest assured, it will be about as much as you can handle.
