Does anyone know if Nomad-Dave Shoemaker-finished his CDT trip? I met him in September at the Leadville Hostel, and followed his journal, which ended NOT at the end of the trail on November 13th. Anyone know what’s up?

Unfortunately the CDT southbound hike ended early. The Nomad’s health required that he return home for medical attention and recuperation time.

Nimblewell Nomad is a different person. On trailjournals there was a journal from a guy named Nomad. I think he finished, he just never updated the journal.

He posted to the CDT_L at http://mailman.hack.net/pipermail/cdt-l/2005-November/003093.html that he would finish tomorrow, 11/22/2006. Spur also congratulated him in his guestbook, http://www.trailjournals.com/gbookv.cfm?trailname=2703. So I assume he completed

I was Dave’s transcriber and I never got the last journal entries. He emailed me and asked that I send some things he had sent to me (pics, etc.) which I did.
It was not like him to just drop communication. I hope nothing happened to him.
