In Lion King’s video hiking the Appalachian Trail, there was a song that I really liked. It plays as the video shows the Thomas Knob shelter and the ponies in the Grayson Highlands. I never could determine the title. I have searched the internet using the lyrics, but have been unsuccessful. Could anyone tell me from the lyrics below what the name of the song is, performer, or composer. The 2nd section of the lyrics is missing some lines because Lion King was talking and I couldn’t determine the words.

Heading out on this Journey
A path of my regrets
Now I sit here in this shelter
Seems I don’t have many left

So I’m writing you this letter
On this rainy day

So I walked away

I would gladly walk from Georgia
All the way to Maine.
I would cross the creeks and mountain Peaks
Whispering your name

If you asked me I would do this
I would go and not complain
But this walk’s for me to find my peace
The Appalachian Trail

You can meet me at Katahdin
On that clear September day
If your not there where the trail ends
I’ll still feel this way

Another great one (not sure if in video or not) is “40 mi from Denver” by Yonder Mountain String Band

In that cool mountain air
On an Appalachian Trail, ohh…
Life is better there!

Thanks to you all. I guess that site is low down on Google’s select list. I’m listening to it now. Wow.
