Good afternoon, Martin
Check the guidebook or the online Thru-Hikers’ Companion at the ALDHA site for information on parking. Please understand that parking on the Trail in Connecticut is either on turnouts along roads or in small parking areas that are not plowed out in the winter. To leave your car in one of these risks it being buried by a snowplow.
There is a convenience store on Route 7 listed under the Bulls Bridge Road entry in the Companion; you could contact the store and ask permission to park. There are businesses in Salisbury you could contact.
Our campsites and shelters are available in winter. You must camp in these designated sites on the Trail in Connecticut and no fires are permitted anywhere at any time in our state. Be prepared for ice, deep snows, rain, and possible high water stream crossings - all are possible. Winter hiking in New England is not for anyone without previous winter experience.
Please feel free to email me offline if I can answer any other questions
