My moneys on SugarDaddy
I hiked with him down south while he hiked from springer to Hot springs for a warm up hike. He fell in love with the trail-hes got the fever! He just finished the detroit marathon. Hes a character, a solid human being and quite the generous sole. He’ll be one to follow along with

Hey Ferret, I read your journal!

Seriously, though, I hope someone (other than my mommy) ends up reading my journal and actually enjoys it.

Crystal and airferret it looks like you have a few visitors over there already! One thing I like when I follow journals is pictures… you both should add an about photo to your journal it adds a lot to one’s journal. Best of luck to both of you.

i’ve read both crystal and airferret’s journals and look forward to meeting them in GA. I’ve found everyone’s pretty interesting, no matter what they end up doing. I know last year some people died even before going, some had injuries, some just plan quit even tho before they got to the trail they had ambitions galore. I somewhat understand what happened to them.

In a small way, i also understand the drive that keeps the thruhikers going, even tho i am such a novice…more cherry than justCherry, who i think is gonna be one to watch the milage fly by.

Best of luck, thru hikers, section hikers, quiters, and those who die dreaming. God knows it’s fun no matter where ya stand.

Yogi makes me laugh when i read somethng she says about vicariously hiking the trail with her. If you’re a reader, i hope every journal you read makes yer day.

Thanks for the tip, Leif. For what its worth, I have been TRYING to find a decent photo of myself that isnt several years old. Its hard to get pictures of yourself when you are always the one behind the camera!

Dont worry, though - there will be pictures abound (probably not of me, though) once I start hiking… as long as I can teach my transcriber and/or photo guy how to post them!

Not strictly 2004 but I recommend “Mother Natures Son”. He’s a 2001 A.T thru-hiker and completed the P.C.T this year. He has journals on both hikes. I met him at Goose Crek Cabins on my GA-VA section hike. The man is a present day John Muir and thoroughly decent chap. I still keep in contact with him.
Ross - A.T 2004 (A true Brit showing true grit…hmmm…just made that up…i kinda like that)
