Has anyone else realized that next year’s class (2012) is going to be hiking the trail on the 75th anniversary of the completion of the AT? I think I’m pretty darn excited about that, lol! Anyone know if there’s going to be any sort of celebration?

Actually I didn’t realize it. I think that there will be something planned along the way. I will be in that class and am chomping at the bit to get started 75th Anniversary or not. Hope to see every one there.

If there’s not anything planned, then some of us out on the trail might have to do something about that, lol. Those of us that start in early March should be around in Maine where the last blaze was painted round about the anniversary time.
