AT hikers on the Florida Trail

														Wow. We had 5 AT thru hikers here in Salt Springs, Florida in 2 days and lots of other folks. Could it be the warm sunny days? One hiker, Freebird, is a triple-crowner. Salt Springs is about 40 miles east of Ocala.  apple

																	We were asked to stop for a minute by a trail crew on the FT.  They had to take our picture.  "We've never actually seen a hiker out here."  Not sure if they were joking.

																	Freebird is up passed Oseola Nat'l Forest by now, having spent the night at my home a few days ago.  I hear there are a number of hikers out there this year but on,y one call... Hmmm?
