AT Weather Website

If I remember correctly, I’ve posted this within an entry in one of my journals, but if you don’t read all the journal entries you may have missed it, so I’m putting here also.
A good website for checking the weather in an area where you’ll be hiking is www.atweather.org.
It’s pretty simple to use, so check it out.

That is pretty neat, and ideal for planning treks. I will use it for a day hike tomorrow.
When I backpack for more than an overnight, I carry a weather radio. I can recall a few times when hikers gathered around it in the shelters, especially when the Frankenstorm was bearing down on us.
