Any hikers in the Atlanta (Roswell, Alpharetta, N. Georgia) area?

I’m in Roswell and looking for some hiking partners.

I live in Acworth and go up 575 or 400 to get to the Springer area. Kennesaw is close by and offers the Kennesaw Mountain National Battle Field for day hikes. I have never been over there but have heard that it is nice. I am a little slow but have no problem with distance. Let me know if you want to head out sometime.

I would be interested to in joining your group. I live in Lithia Springs and have hiked Kennesaw many times. Also like to hike the approaach trail up to Springer.

I grew up in Roswell but now live in Santa Fe for grad school. You might plan on going to Springer for New Year’s though, it’s a good time and lots of area hikers will be there!

I’m confined to unbearably flat south Louisiana right now, but I’ll be graduated soon! I’m from Marietta (location of Kennesaw) and will be hiking this mountain daily plus some North GA hikes from the middle of december to march in prep for 2005 AT hike!

I thru-hiked this year and met so many hikers from ATl and surroundings, I was almost in disbelief! I am from Lawrenceville, met a few from Marietta, Macon, Athens, you name it, the AT has it. We’re few and far between!

Heh…small world. I lived in both Lawrenceville and Marietta! Went to Sprayberry HS and graduated from Brookwood. Even lived on Bethany Road (Alpharetta) for a short time.

Living in South Carolina at the moment…I’d be happy to meet up for some weekend hiking sometime. I usually drive up to the GA/NC/SC line when I have a few days to spare.
