Mega Bus can get me from Columbus, OH to Atlanta, GA on March the 25th, arriving at 7:10 AM at the MARTA Civic Center. In order to get to Dahlonega, would it be better for me to get on over to Gainesville, and catch a ride, or is it possible to go from Atlanta directly to Dahlonega?

_Gorp-Gobbler_ I suggest taking Marta Train from Civic Center station on to the most northerly stop (North Springs Station).
You will then be on/at Ga Highway 400.
From there, you can get ride north from people like me who live local and can/have ferried hikers to Dahlonega or AT Terminus…Or…
Double check but I think Hiker Hostel will pick you up at North Springs…maybe gas fee?? I don’t know.

_Bonzz_ I just posted something similar for transportation concerns from the Airport - Bonzz I have been to Atlanta a couple of times and used the train but it only went north near Perimeter Mall - is there a bus service or other type transportation up to Dahlonega?
