Howdy, Flyin into Atlanta on 4/3 at 7 p.m. and hoping to get on the Approach trail the next day, 4/4. There are some good resources out there, but because we're getting in in the evening its hard to make them all connect... I was wondering if anyone knows some cool angels in Atlanta area that might provide a place to crash and a shuttle to the trail (we would compensate of course), Thanks! Hemlock Muppet

I can help you. I live on the 'freeway/highway'(400) leading to the trail area. I can pick you up at the 'North Springs' train station (Marta) which you'll take from Jackson-Hartsfield Airport.....the train ride is safe and easy to access from Airport.
Let me know if you want to discuss further. I am familar with Dalonega, Amacalola Falls, Hiker Hostel, and that whole area as I go hiking near Suches often just north of hiker hostel in Dalonega.

The Hiker Hostel runs a special for 75 dollars that includes a ride from Atlanta to the hostel, a bunk for the night, breakfast and a ride to the trail at Springer or Amicalola Falls between February 20 and April 18.
