hey all just posting to see if anyone has anything to add to my worries of resupply in Benchmark. Book said it was sketch and that Even though Augusta is 30 miles away on dirt road its a easy hitch. Benchmark charges 25$ to hold package that seems like a lot and not the greatest on locating your box once its there. thanks for any imput

Go for Benchmark. Hitching into Augusta may be possible, but getting back out to the trail would be a really hard ride to get. Contact the Ranch now and get details on how to send your package. It is close to the trail (closer than the book says) and a very nice place to visit. Very mellow. There is also a shower, which you might be able to use even if you don’t stay there. If you do stay, they have real feather beds. Beverly was really nice - she drove all the way back to the ranch when we heard we had arrived (30 miles) and brought some ice cream to share. Interesting lady.
