I just hiked section 6 of the CT last weekend, and there is still a lot of snow between miles 10-15. You may want to wait a couple of weeks for more snow to melt.

Crossed Georgia pass today (June 20). Post-holed knee deep through snow from approximately miles 13 - 15. This segment should be in great shape in the next week or two.

Given the quality and quantity of snow encountered this past Saturday, miles 13-15 past Georgia Pass should be in MUCH better shape by 6/28. Summer has arrived in full-force with significantly warmer temperatures throughout the week.

I went over Georgia Pass on 6/24. As Bernard says, the snow is between miles 13 & 15. I was there early in the morning and for the most part the snow was very hard. Near mile 14.5, where the guide book says to turn West, is where the snow was softest. Also at this point, there are tracks heading in all different directions. If you’re following tracks and then they stop or disappear, turn West.
