Please don't let one nasty inconsiderate person keep you from the site. Its unfortunate that there are jerks like that, but there are and we all have to suffer from their actions. I'm sorry to heat that it happened, but you should stay.

There will always be people posting on here that know it all, have done it all, and wouldn't do it the way you might, just ignore them and please continue visiting the site.

...regret leaving a nasty review of one hiker on their guestbook...although they were extremely unpleasant to hike with: having nothing to say but negativities, criticisms, & insults ... I kinda understand now though that she were trying to get with another hiker by having in common the disparagement of my inferior gear, my vegan food, & my hiking style. She also deleted her journal... after which I eventually apologized by email; but she never did say sorry to me !
