Sorry Brian, but I don’t think that’s the name of an AT shelter, at least not one I can find any reference to. The AT Trail Shelters database doesn’t list it, nor do any of my guide books and it’s not in the GoogleEarth plot of the AT. There is a Bald Mountain shelter in TN and both a Bald Mountain Brook lean-to and a Baldpate lean-to in ME, but no Bald Creek shelter. What state were you looking at? If we can clarify the name I can send you some good data links beyond the shelter database on some of them (some simply don’t have any more data than that available except by direct experience.) Let me know here and I’ll see what I can dig up.
