Bannock is a pass on the Continental Divide Trail between Idaho and Montana. I had never made the connection with a food!

I’ve used it and it works well with practice. I’ve found that if you have each portion mixed in a baggy, add the water at a campsite. Some fry it, but I’ve never carried a pan for that. Not to sound too rustic, but a hot rock by the campfire makes the best bannock. It hits the spot after days of pasta or worse.
