I heard some where on the trail that a bear attacked a hiker at the three forks area of Ga last week some time,has any else here heard about that?

My husband Ed Benton had heard about a bear that had shredded a man’s backpack last week. He then met the man on Saturday while eating dinner at Daniel’s Steak House in Hiawassee. The bear came into their camp in broad day light and shredded Peter Vanstraten’s back pack, took everything in the pack except for the shredded maps and his wallet (nice bear to leave the wallet?). Funny thing is, Peter’s food was in his tent. They sent the backpack to Neels Gap to be stuffed and put on display. Whew!:x

The bear then went into Daniel’s and confronted the hiker while he was eating dinner? 
That bear’s got some gonads!!!

Welp, the Bear was tired of hikers leaving food in their tents,then going down to the steak house.

Now that is funny lol.Guess the poor guy could end up with the trail name bear bait or shredder roflomao. On a more serious note though glad he is okay but he should feel lucky that the bear did not go after him or his tent. Maybe that bear did not like the color of the pack and decided to shred it to bits lolol.
