Bear Mountain Inn Closing

The Bear Mountain Main INN will be closing as of January 2005 for renovation.The Inn will be closed for about two years.HOWEVER,Stone Lodge and Overlook Lodge will remain open during this time.Stone lodges consist of four Lodges with six hotel rooms each.Nice but a little small.Stone Lodge is about one mile from the main lodge and OFF the AT.Overlook Lodge is located a little over one mile from the main lodge and again,off of the AT.As of this year the reported price was $99.00 per room.Both lodges are located at Hessian Lake.Nice View.The only food that will be available will be at Overlook lodge,which will serve a continental breakfast

When I saw the title of this thread, my first thought was “Wow, I just stayed there on 11/4 and now it’s closing?” Good to hear that it’s temporary. I hope that the guest rooms are part of the renovation. They didn’t seem nearly as nice as the rest of the Inn.
