Does anyone know the rates for the Bear Mountain Inn? I may use it for an "overnight" stay in order to go to the zoo.
Also, are reservations required?

Gorp-Gobbler, I don't know the rates at the Bear Mountain Inn, but the phone # is 845 786-2701. A better option for lodging might be Ft. Montgomery, N.Y. There you have the Bear Mountain Bridge Motel (845 446-2472). They even give you a ride back to the trail. Happy Trails! DreamWalker Ga.>Me. 2011
