Hi All, for those who already hiked the CDT for which part do you need to carry bear vault?

Only place on the entire trail is Rocky Mountain National Park. If you don’t have one you can rent one at a sporting goods store in Grand Lake. If you hike the short route you can get across the park without using one. The long route is really nice, and IMO worth the trouble.
