Bears - Appalachian Trail

									Hi All  -

I have been reading trailjournals and the bear seem to be getting smarter about hanging bear bags.

What is the chance that bear boxes could be used in these areas>

I am hiking the trail in 2010 and I sure would like to outsmart a bear or two. I need my oatmeal and cream of wheat in the mornings!

If you hang your food right, the bears can’t get it down.

There are some places that have bear boxes, but, at least on the AT, not that many.

									I've been using this method for a few years now, it is the best way to hang food I've used so far.
