Beer on the PCT.
Well, Hell Yeah!!! No Pain, I can only tell you about Cali. Lets see party spots you should not miss. Kick- Off Party, Idewild, this stop starts with a .8 mile walk down to a Bar, then you hitch to town.(2-visits)ction, the only trail sign that I have ever seen that reads McDonalds .4. It’s in a store. Wrightwood, you can get everything and I repeat everything there(2days)Donna Saufley - National Geographic Mag did a story on her(6.9days - I did not stay a week I arrived on a Sat. and I left on a Fri.) The Lunatic Lounge(Joe & Terry Anderson(4days),“Who’s up for the Whatever?”). Hiker Town, Do you know how it feals to drive 100+ mph thru the dessert? I DO). Mojave. That’s the first month. Shoot me a line I’ll give more details. Hey, have you heard the rumor that there will be two black guys out there next year. Hell Yeah!!!

Grumpy Bears in Kennedy Meadows; Jakes Saloon in Lone Pine; the Seasons Bar in Lone Pine; The Whitney Portal Store; A six-pack or more at the Shepherd Pass or Cottonwood Pass trail heads; if you can get some wheels, the Panamint Springs Resort 48 miles west of Lone Pine.

who says you have to limit yourself to partying just in the towns. let the party last ohhh i don’t know about 2650 miles. and then move it to vancouver. and then seattle. i didnt really get to party in seattle but it can be done. just let the good times roll. be careful in the desert on full moons you cant see as well as you think you can. trust me on this one. the swimming holes just after burney falls are nice but a little dangerous. trust me on this one too. a lot of the people you will party with will be former ATers who are looking for more than just your run of the mill outdoors experience.

Why do people want to party and drink beer on my favorite trails? It’s not for that, it’s for being alone in the woods, not togetherness and socializing. Those same people probably eat a bunch of ice cream in town, and carry lots of chocolate with them, and listen to their radios in the woods. Why don’t they just develop some more refined pleasures? So people like me who never shower, and live in teepees with no plumbing can keep enjoying the outdoors in peace.:cheers
