Anybody been on the trail in MA lately? What’s the snow/mud ratio looking like for this weekend? I hear talk of rain, so I’m not expecting dry trail, I’m just wondering how messy it’s gonna be.

Yeah it’s going to be quite sloppy. We debated going to greylock 2 weeks ago, but instead went to the spruce peak section for 4 days in VT. They both got a fresh foot 2 weeks ago, and it’s not spring up there quite yet… You’d be better off in VT i think, mainly because it’s a little more managable frozen then really muddy and slushy…

There is still snow on most of the trail here in central berkshire county. Plus, we are expecting 3 days of rain, so it will be sloppy.
