I’m planning a southbound hike and assuming that I finish it on time and make it to Lone Pine, what would be the best way to get home (I live in Las Vegas). I rather not do any hitchhiking. The only shuttle information I have is to Los Angeles and I was hoping not to backtrack.

We are flying out of Vegas on our return trip after our JMT hike. I chose that after getting info from another posting on a different forum. We are getting the CREST bus out of Lone Pine south to Ridgecrest - I believe it goes there Monday, Wednesday and Friday - check their website. We are then renting a car (Avis) one-way from Ridgecrest (InyoKern Airport is the pickup) to Las Vegas. There must be a lot of this going on because there was no added cost for the one-way rental. I think we are paying just over $40 for the car. Anyway, that’s the plan. Hope this helps.
