Yeah, I get to see the small patches of snow left on Loon mountain every morning. What’s with all the rain? I have been up here for just over a week, but I think I will go to VA next week for a few days.

What are you doing going to DV where the Rich and Famous live this time of year, Celt?

Welcome back to New England Leif, I did squeak in a hike up Carter Notch Saturday before the rain started that late afternoon. Also saw my first bear in NE EVER!! They are so much more elusive up here. It was cool!!

I’m going to hang out with the great grease monkeys from Doppelmayr and learn to be a better lift mechanic, all paid for by Loon Mtn. In the evening I plan to hoist a few with any hollywood types that like greasy coveralls. I hope to find some time to do some afternoon hikes in the Wasatch. Any suggestions? I leave for Manchester in 30 minutes.

I didn’t check back here in time…might you check this en route I would suggest a nice little hike up Peak 10-4-20 which anyone can point you to up in Guardsman Pass. Or being partial to PC itself go up to the top of Jupiter Peak, could walk over to the top of Scott’s Bowl from there which would give you a great view into Big Cottonwood Cyn. I mainly mtn biked away my summertime out there so my trail eyes are from a different perspective. Miss it…maybe you’ll run into some of my old lift mechanic friends from PC-
