If Bob wanted his personal info posted he would ask to be listed in the trail guides. Do not post Bob Bird’s contact info on a public forum. Use private email.

I just bought the No Phone package, it has no Interweb, Email, can’t even make a phone call on it. I take it to the trail every time I go. If I need to get a message out I send it up or even down the trail.

I know that this is very, very late, but just for everyone’s information the Birdcage is officially closed as of the end of the 2012 hiking season. Bob Bird was packing up and selling off a lot of his stuff when I visited him in June 2012. Was very sad to see him close down his house after all these years. Rumor is that Bob relocated to Georgia and is offering up his new home somewhere near Unicoi Gap. Thanks Bob for all the memories and your hospitality. It was a great run. Swagman :bawling
