Anyone have experience with this bus line? According to their web site, leaves Gunnnison at 6:20 AM, goes through Poncha Springs, Salida, Buena Vista, Fairplay, Jefferson, and arrives in Denver at 11:00 AM. Departs Denver at 1:50 PM, follows the reverse route and arrives in Gunnison at 6:30 PM. Daily runs (I think). Looks like this bus would be a useful option for getting to/from mid points of the trail. ???

Yes. I took that bus from Buena Vista to Denver last July. It runs on certain days each way. It leaves from the airport in Buena Vista. The Best Western Hotel in Buena Vista can give you the phone number of the airport in Buena Vista where you can talk to an employee of the airport who can give you the exact schedule. It was a very nice bus. After I got back to VA, I called Greyhound. They had similar schedule information and gave me the same name: Black Hills Stage Line.

Yes, my daughter goes to school in Gunnison and takes it home to Denver and back all the time. Its around $35.00 or so one way. Definitely a cheap ride to Denver, or the other way around. Its usually on time too. It will drop you off at Union Station, downtown, Denver.
