The BLM has imposed no-campfire restrictions on BLM lands in several central California counties. Portable stoves are OK. I don’t know if the PCT actually passes through any BLM lands in these counties, but take it as a warning: the state’s getting dryer, and we’re heading into a hot September. This looks to be a prime wildfire season (especially around Redding).
