Border Assistance Offered

I’m can transport from Tucson if the timing is right (It is a 140 mile RT so it would require a bit of a heads-up).

I’ll offer a floor and an air mattress if anyone wants to stay in my house (with a cat, no TV, and a day-sleeping roomie, just so you know. I do have the internet, though).

You’re welcome to make meals out of what I have or I can take you to the grocery and you can pick up something. We have restaurants, but if you’re getting an early start (before 5a or 6a), plan on Dennys. Believe me, you’ll appreciate the lack of hospitality I show in not cooking for you.

And of course I will drive folks to the border, from town or my house.

I have to mention that if there’s a freak snowstorm, I can only get you within a couple of miles of Montezuma’s Pass. (Yeah, that happened last year. I felt terrible about it!)

Or, if there’s some other way I can assist you, don’t hesitate to ask and I’ll see what I can do.

Oops! I realize I should have said in my initial post that I live in Sierra Vista. Sorry! I didn’t mean to cause anyone confusion.

Don’t feel too bad if you can’t get hikers all the way to Montezuma Pass! It’s just as easy to start across the road from the visitor’s center via Joe’s Canyon Trail.

Joe’s takes you down to the Mexican border. You can see our Homeland Security at work there. Two rusted strings of wire that a cow can walk thru. I stuck my hand thru just to be able to say “Yes, I’ve been to Mexico.”
