How are bugs on the CT? I’m from the AT so I’m used to bad bugs. You prolly don’t have anything as bad as black flies but in general, when are they bad and what bites and where?

Just cause I’m used to bad bugs don’t mean I like them or am used to being eaten by them, I really hate bad bugs thats why I’m asking. I know it’s dryer out west but does that meen you get away from them?

In general, bugs are not that bad in Colorado because it is so dry. Some mosquitoes near the streams mostly in the campgrounds. Some ticks also near streams. Very few flies. The higher the altitude, the less bugs.
