Burningtown Gap NC robbery

									I was informed that a thru hiker was recently robbed at gunpoint at Burningtown Gap. Does anyone know more about this? I am the maintainer there and have a need to know! thanks.  Apple

									And all I got away with was some granola bars and moleskin!

									Yes I talked to the hiker that this happened to. He was hiking at night and two guys put a flashlight in his face and had a knife and took his money.

									One question is whether this was a crime of opportunity or something targeted at the thru-hiker community based on known vulnerabilities. Would be interesting to know whether it happened away from the trail, at the trail crossing, or along the trail back in the woods.
