I attended in 2004 just before heading down to Georgia. The film (DVD) was a good introduction to the trail (AT). I wouldn’t call it a workshop but an Introduction to the Trail with testimony from some who had completed their hike. I bought the DVD and showed it to several family members and it gave them an impression of the trail (though the people on the screen were not like those I met at Springer or Hawk Mountain or Gooch Gap Mountain Shelter. The DVD had colorful characters but not typical ones. I will probably head down to Broadway next Monday evening. And because it is at EMS there will be opportunity to purchase some little doodads for the next hike.
