I really love having a campfire before I hit the sleeping bag for the night. How often should I expect to experience the relaxing enjoyment of a campfire during my 2003 thru-hike attempt?

Just about every night if you wish. Certain areas have fire bans certain times of the year. These areas will be posted. Campfires rule!

If you leave early and it will be wet you’ll need/want one to dry your gear. If you can find wood. Don’t forget to creme brule’ peeps at Easter! Stick peep and toast it over the fire.
