I am planning to camp for few nights in Charlotte Lake as I wait for my hiking partner to join me on the John Muir Trail. Somewhere I read that camping around that particular lake is limited to two nights. Is that true?Is it patroled by Rangers? Where can I confirm such issue?

I haven’t read that in any of the guide books or website I’ve been reading on the JMT, but to play safe just e-mail or call a ranger at Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park. I have had a couple of similar questions during my JMT planning and the rangers have been great at getting back to me quickly with answers.
